Britney Spears is done dealing with the whole negativity and drama surrounding her mental health. Since winning her conservatorship battle against her dad Jamie Spears, Britney has faced an onslaught of personal crisis which has been exploited for media benefits. From internal drama with her parents who she accused of betraying her, to constant struggle with mental health issues, the last decade has been a wild ride. The whole drama has left fans and family concerned about her, with Britney’s sons reportedly cutting ties with her. Yet, she consistently slams the media for seemingly blowing these incidents out of proportion.
Britney Spears Fires Back at Naysayers Exploiting Her Mental Health Drama

After a long-prevailing back-and-forth drama, Britney Spears is finally calling her critics to order. Taking to Instagram, the songstress shared a shot of her lengthy message to those creating lies about her in an attempt to stir up negativity. She began by acknowledging her strengths, including being a woman capable of driving whenever she wanted to go shopping, and her ability to be a good person. She continued,
“I’m disgusted with the attempts of people saying I’m not well. People are hateful and I have 3 dogs and I’m quite happy with my easy way of living. I take care of myself.”
Britney Spears also highlighted some of the improvements in her life so far despite the media drama. She noted that she often takes a two-hour bath and even learned to cook. Additionally, she has come to love herself “a bit better” despite her imperfections, and does a great job at “keeping it together.”
Britney Sets Clear Boundary Around Her Vulnerabilities
The crooner proceeded to admit like everyone else, she also had bad days. According to her, she owed it to no one to put her vulnerable moments out there for the world to see when they do happen. Rather than openly “crying and weeping,” Britney believes it best to keep her private issues and vulnerabilities to herself. She went on to establish that she had no intention of sharing her vulnerable moments with “a world and media” who hurt her deeply at one point in her life.
The crooner wanted the world to know not to expect such accountability from her as she had an amazing therapist and friends to turn in her vulnerability. Britney concluded with a final witty message putting critics in their place. She wrote,
“Please take your negativity elsewhere and learn to respect. What would people do if I smoked a blunt after the EMSs like Cyrus who I have mad respect for? I honestly hope you mean people kiss my ass!”
Her witty post comes hours after Britney and her mom Lynne Spears sparked reconciliation talks following their Los Angeles reunion. Although neither have openly addressed the current state of their relationship, their reconciliation would be a welcome step for Britney Spears as she strives to break free from the drama surrounding her mental health struggles.
