Bully didn’t have a sequel, but fans also didn’t stop tampering with the game. We’ve seen many remastering works that are developed by fans. And since Unreal Engine 5 was announced, gamers have built Unreal demos for the games they love. After the mainstream’s spread, a Bully fan made a video showing what the game would look like if it gets a remake by Unreal Engine.
The video doesn’t show a completed game; it only shows the essentials you might wonder about. Remaking a 2006 game with 2022’s modern game engine is impressive work. The results aren’t in harmony with the original game’s structure, but it still looks fantastic.
Bully’s Fan-Made Unreal Engine 5 Remake’s Trailer Is Here
TeaserPlay’s video is a trailer; it complies with a demo for the idea of a PS5 exclusive made by Unreal Engine 5. The video starts with cool shadows falling on Jimmy’s face and continues with the map’s impressive rebuild. Ray tracing is the key to the video; you can see that lightning is overwhelmingly used. Also, the graphics are rendered in 4K resolution, which gives us many details.
Compared to the original game, the video shows an idea of a revolution. But Rockstar Games isn’t planning a remake or any other job for the game. According to a few rumors, the remasters for Red Dead Redemption and GTA IV will be on the way after GTA VI’s release. While there are two other remasters, the chance of Bully is meager.
Not restricted to Bully, Unreal Engine 5 is also a big revolution for the gaming industry. You might remember its demo named The Matrix: Awakens; that game showed us how detailed games will be on the way. Due to the engine’s accessibility to everyone, we can see any other revolutionary concepts for the games we played in the 2000s.
We might not see a remake for Bully but look at the bright side. The upcoming games made by Unreal Engine 5 will be a new level for gaming.
