It’s been fourteen years since the original Cabin Fever was released and terrorized dumb college graduates with a flesh eating virus. With a remake just around the corner, a new trailer has dropped showcasing the return of the bloodied mess. Director Eli Roth both directed and wrote the original Cabin Fever, but is only signed on as an executive producer this time around. The remake is helmed by production designer, turned director Travis Zariwny whose previous directorial credits include Scavengers and Intruder. Check out the first trailer below!

The cast includes actors Matthew Daddario, Gage Golightly, Nadine Crocker, Dustin Ingram, and Samuel Davis. In an interview, Eli Roth commented on the remake saying, “It’s great. And I’m saying that honestly. I saw it and I was blown away.” Roth went on about what viewers can expect from Zariwny’s remake. You don’t know how they’re going to come. I was watching it, and he didn’t tell me that he did that and I was so happy he did – because nobody wants to see a re-do that’s the same thing that they already know. So he leads you in one direction, with the audience thinking that the know what’s coming, then puts a fantastic spin on it. And it looks awesome – it’s a really fun movie. I’m happily surprised at how it’s turned out.”
The Cabin Fever remake has a pending release date set for October 26th of this year.
