Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War was a pleasant surprise, I won’t lie. It doesn’t reach the heights of older entries such as Black Ops 2, but it’s still genuinely satisying. Hell, I wouldn’t be Prestige 1 already if it weren’t for its quality. With the imminent launch of Season 1 on December 10 though, Treyarch is looking to give fans something a little special. Nuketown 84, the iconic Black Ops map, is now available in 6v6 modes. You can check out the map in all its nostalgic glory through the trailer below.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s latest map is set in an abandoned nuclear test site. It was originally designated as “Site B”, but has since been left dormant until some misfits called it their home. The map is best known for both its simplicity and the two houses featured. If you’re looking for frantic battles to farm that sweet Weapon XP, then Nuketown 84 is just the map for you. You can play it in all available 6v6 modes including Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint, and more!
That’s not all though, as Treyarch is celebrating with much easier to earn XP and weapon XP in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Until November 30, all XP is doubled, allowing you to get those sweet attachments twice as fast. Given how frantic of a map Nuketown 84 is, that XP should be all the easier to earn. If you’d like further details on the map along with some great strategies, you can check out the team’s latest blog post here.
If you’re planning to play Nuketown 84 and get that sweet double XP, let me know. I know I will, as I’m close to getting max level on my Tundra. Otherwise, for all your Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War news, stay tuned at The Nerd Stash.
