As you play the Multiplayer and Zombies modes of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, chances are you’re getting to or are already at max level. It’s definitely a lot less than it used to be, so I wouldn’t be shocked if you’re there already. Thankfully, the game offers a system to let you prestige and start that leveling over, with added rewards. This year’s Call of Duty is no different but can be a bit hard to find. In this guide, I’ll explain exactly where and how to prestige.
How to Prestige in Cold War
To prestige in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, you first must be level 55. You’re likely already there but for those that aren’t, get to that point then come back here. For those who are already max level, you’ll want to navigate to the Barracks tab in the lobby, then to the Progression section. In here, you’ll find the ability to prestige. This will remove all of your unlocks in favor of giving you an exclusive sticker, emblem, and prestige key. The sticker and emblem are straightforward, but the prestige key is a new feature in Cold War. This lets you unlock legacy icons from other Call of Duty titles, but just one. You’ll be able to access it once Season One begins next month.
After that, you will have learned how to prestige in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. There’s a few other things worth noting though. There are currently only three prestige available, each offering a new sticker, emblem, and prestige key. More will be added with Cold War’s various seasons, including four more with Season One arriving in December. In addition, there will be unified levels across Cold War, Modern Warfare, and Warzone if you also fancy those games. There’s a lot to be excited about, with additional details to be found in that same progression tab.
