Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War features various achievements for you to grab, further showcasing your completion. Along with simple achievements earned throughout your adventures, there are a few which you may not get conventionally. One such achievement is Mean Machine, which can be challenging if you don’t know where to look. Don’t worry though as in this guide, I’ll explain exactly how to get the Mean Machine achievement in Black Ops Cold War.
How to Get the Mean Machine Achievement in Cold War
The Mean Machine achievement requires you to score 100 kills as a driver, pilot, or passenger of a vehicle in multiplayer. This can’t be achieved in the regular mode, so you’ll want to head into Cold War’s Combined Arms Moshpit mode. This mode includes the Crossroads, Armada, and Cartel maps. You’ll want to look for the former two when queuing up for a match. This is specifically because you’ll need maps with vehicles, and the motorcycles on Cartel don’t count. From there, take control of the tank or boat in these modes and kill as many people as you can. I personally found more success with the tank on Crossroads, but that’ll depend on what you prefer.
Another solid tool for this is the RC-XD scorestreak. Funny enough, Black Ops Cold War counts this as being the driver of a vehicle so any kills with it work well. In between uses of the tank or boat, you can deploy one of these and get a quick kill for that extra score. It won’t be as fast, but every kill matters when going for this. After a handful of matches utilizing these two methods, you should find yourself with the achievement in no time (and some explosive fun along the way).
