Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has wasted no time jumping into 2020. They’ve reintroduced Grind mode from 2013’s Call Of Duty: Ghosts. The mode is a mix of Hardpoint and Kill Confirmed.
Grind is a deathmatch mode that pits players against each other in the pursuit of dog tags. Grind has appeared in other Call Of Duty titles under the names of Stockpile and Fracture.
Moreover, Grind comes with its own rules and objectives.
Activision explains in an official blog post:
“Kills in this mode must be confirmed by picking up dog tags from fallen players and taking them to an objective location to score points for your team.”
“The objective rotates around the map making it even more of a challenge to earn points.”
The dog tags are stackable, meaning more than one can be collected. They can then be delivered to the objective location at once. If a player is killed in combat with dog tags, all will be dropped, including one for the player.
Tags of fallen comrades can be collected, which will deny enemy teams from collecting them, similarly to Kill Confirmed. Key tactics in Grind to be considered include the importance of points overkills, reaching an objective, the difference between risk and reward, perks including High Alert, Double Time and E.O.D, and lastly, upgrades on the battlefield, (the Trophy System).
