COD Warzone Pacific comes with a new map Caldera as well as a bunch of new Sniper Rifles and tweaks to popular weapons. Nevertheless, the power of headshots ensures that Sniper Rifles will always play a role in any battle royale map, no matter how much the meta shifts around with nerfs and buffs. In terms of the best Sniper Rifles, the majority of guides and COD Warzone players all over the internet pretty much agreed that these are the top five weapons for the Pacific update:
- Swiss K31
- Kar98k (Modern Warfare)
- HDR
- Kar98k (Vanguard)
- SP-R 208
Now with the short tier list out of the way, let’s also take a look at what attachments you should use for each weapon.
1. Swiss K31
Although it was initially underpowered when it was introduced in Season 3, with patches and buffs, Swiss K31 has since become one of the greatest all-around Sniper Rifles, especially at close-to-medium range. The Kar98k (Modern Warfare) has faster ADS speed, but the Swiss K31 is far more forgiving of your aiming ability because it strikes hard even for a body shot.
Recommended Loadout:
- Muzzle: GRU Suppressor
- Barrel: 24.9″ Combat Recon
- Laser: SWAT 5mW Laser Sight
- Underbarrel: Bruiser Grip
- Rear Grip: Serpent Wrap
2. Kar98k (Modern Warfare)
Fast ADS speed for quick scoping but still have the long-range capability, what else do you need in a Sniper Rifle? For that reason, most competitive players will opt for the Kar98k. This loadout will focus on speed and range, allowing you to destroy any enemies you spot wherever they are.
Recommended Loadout:
- Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
- Barrel: Singuard Custom 27.6″
- Laser: Tac Laser
- Optic: Sniper Scope (Crossthread Reticle)
- Stock: FTAC Sport Comb
3. HDR
If you like playing a bit slow and hardscoping people, then take a look at the heavy Sniper HDR. With this loadout, your HDR will have an almost hitscan-like bullet velocity and still be extremely devastating wherever the bullet hits.
Recommended Loadout:
- Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
- Barrel: 26.9″ HDR Pro
- Laser: Tac Laser
- Stock: FTAC Stalker-Scout
- Ammunition: 7 Round Mags
4. Kar98k (Vanguard)
With proper attachments, the Kar98k Vanguard Sniper Rifle can be transformed into an efficient killing machine in COD Warzone Pacific. The Mk. 12 Night Vision Optic gives the Kar98k both a very fast ADS as well as additional visibility to hunt down enemies hiding in shrubberies.
Recommended Loadout:
- Muzzle: Scout Silencer
- Barrel: VDD REO2K
- Optic: Mk. 12 Night Vision
- Stock: Short Stock
- Underbarrel: M1930 Strifle Angled
- Ammunition: Lengthened
- Rear Grip: Fabric Grip
- Perk 1: Fleet
- Perk 2: Deep Breath
5. SP-R 208
Last but not least, the SP-R 208, which comes with a variety of attachments to suit any playstyle. The SP-R 208 was previously a hitscan weapon, but even after it got nerfed, it’s still a very effective weapon, whether for medium or long-range engagements.
Recommended Loadout:
- Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
- Barrel: SP-R 26″
- Laser: Tac Laser
- Optic: Solozero SP-R 28mm
- Ammunition: .300 Norma Mag 5-R Mags
JGOD, a COD Warzone Pacific expert, also has the best tips for substantially increasing the ADS speed of your Sniper Rifle. There appears to be a bug or glitch affecting Vanguard Sniper Rifles right now, rendering any ADS speed decrease from optic attachments useless. With that in mind, you can now simply choose the best optics without having to sacrifice valuable ADS speed. JGOD himself suggests equipping the MK. 12 Night Vision Optic and should avoid optics with two sights because they will prohibit you from holding your breath and steadying your aim. Watch JGOD’s complete explanations in the video below, which is actually pretty short at just around 3-minutes total.
