Cameron Diaz addressed what if feels like to return to acting after retiring eight years ago. People Magazine reports that the 50-year-old actress is starring alongside Jamie Foxx in the upcoming Netflix movie Back in Action. Diaz addressed her return to acting on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Friday saying she is both nervous and excited. Diaz said, “It’s a little bit of muscle memory, you know what I mean. I did that for so long, it’s kind of like the process, I kind of just fell back into it. But it feels a little bit different. And I’ve also made two movies with Jamie, which is amazing. … The last movie I made was Annie with Jamie, and so the first movie back is this film with Jamie. So, it’s amazing. He’s so great, he’s so easy, he’s so professional, he’s so talented, and just being able to work with him, it will be so much fun.”

Cameron Diaz Returns to Acting in ‘Back in Action’
What’s on Netflix explains that Back in Action, a title fitting for Diaz returning to acting, is a comedy film directed by Seth Gordon, who is known for directing Horrible Bosses. It will be the third time Diaz and Fox have worked together, with 1999’s Any Given Sunday being the first and 2014’s Annie being the second.
Diaz made her acting debut in The Mask (1994). Her starmaking role came in 1998 when she played the title character in There’s Something About Mary, which earned her a Golden Globe nomination. She went on to have big roles in the Charlie’s Angels movies, Gangs of New York, In Her Shoes, Being John Malkovich, and more.
