After Hogwarts Legacy was announced two years ago, every fan of the Harry Potter universe knew this was the game they wanted to play for a long time. The game doesn’t take place in the era when Harry himself was alive, which gives the developers the freedom to create a game based on Harry Potter‘s lore rather than the main storyline. Since you can do almost everything a student could do in Hogwarts, you might wonder if you can also use Dark Magic in Hogwarts Legacy. So here is the answer.
Can You Use Dark Magic in Hogwarts Legacy?
Dark Magic, or to be precise, the three unforgivable spells Avada Kedavra, Crucio, and Imperio, were introduced fully in the world of Harry Potter in the fourth book, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
In case you don’t know or have forgotten, these spells are unforgivable because Imperio allows you to control another person to do anything you want. Crucio will impose unimaginable pain on another person, which is used for torture. And Avada Kedavra will kill the person instantly.
In the Harry Potter universe, the teachers never teach these spells but only discuss them in theory and show by applying all the spells to a poor spider. This means any person who wants to learn these spells, has to learn them outside of Hogwarts.
So, back to the question of whether you will be able to use Dark Magic in Hogwarts Legacy or not. The answer is yes. You can actually use Dark Magic in the game. But according to the leaked footage and documents of the game, these three spells won’t be available until much later in the game.
Players who pre-order Hogwarts Legacy will also receive the Dark Arts Battle Arena. So we guess you will be able to use these powerful but evil spells in this arena.
