Eddie Murphy will star in and produce the Prime Video holiday comedy film Candy Cane Lane. Reginald Hudlin will direct the film. Amazon Studios, Imagine Entertainment, and Eddie Murphy Production will produce Candy Cane Lane. Kelly Younger wrote the spec script loosely based on Younger’s childhood holiday experiences. Brian Glazer under Imagine, Hudlin, and Murphy had previously worked together on the 1992 comedy film Boomerang. Hudlin has also directed Marshall and The Black Godfather and has produced Django Unchained and Black Panther. Younger has worked with The Muppets Studio but has credits in Frozen 2 and Moana. Candy Cane Lane is the comedy legend is doing with Amazon Studios following the release of Coming 2 America. No plot details on the Prime holiday comedy have been released on the film, but it will start filming this winter in Los Angeles.
