Season 2 will be the last season for the Amazon Prime Video period drama fantasy series Carnival Row. It stars Orlando Bloom as Rycroft Philostrate and Cara Delevingne as Vignette Stonemoss. The series was renewed for a second season back in 2019 and was filmed in 2020. Cara Delevingne and Orlando Bloom are reprising their roles. The series follows a divided world where human and supernatural creatures are at odds with each other. The last season of Carnival Row will follow former inspector Rycroft investigating grisly murders causing public outrage. Vignette and the Black Raven plan revenge against the human leaders oppressing them. Imogen Spurnrose (Tamzin Merchant) and her supernatural lover Agreus Astrayon (David Gyasi) encounter their own troubles after fleeing The Burgue. Amazon Studios and Legendary Television co-produce the Amazon Prime Video fantasy series. Erik Oleson is an executive producer and the showrunner of the series.
Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne Shall Have Many Surprises in Store for their Characters
Season 1 traced the origin of the relationship between Vignette Stonemoss and Rycroft Philostrate, also known as Philo. Imogen Spurnrose, once repulsed by her wealthy supernatural neighbor, Agreus Astrayon, became his lover. Spurnrose turned against her own brother Ezra (Andrew Gower) to be with Astrayon. The second and last season of Carnival Row continues the civil unrest due to the discrimination of supernatural beings by the government. The character, played by Cara Delevingne and Orlando Bloom, had a will-they-won’t-they relationship throughout the first season. The Amazon Prime Video fantasy series should answer more questions with Season 2 since it won’t get to explain any further. Many attempts have been made against Philo’s life already and Vignette’s, so it’s likely that will continue. Piety Breakspear (Indira Varma) was killed by Vignette, so at least her reign of terror is done.
The last season of the Amazon Prime Video fantasy series Carnival Row will premiere on February 17, 2023.
