In the wake of the Jump Festa ’22 event, the Chainsaw Man anime adaptation has finally found a release window. The event streamed a video that announced that the anime will premiere at an undisclosed date in 2022.
There are two retailers available for the newest parts of the Chainsaw Man projects. The first one (the initial announcement Tweet), focuses on the manga and the upcoming second part of the manga. The second trailer focuses on the Chainsaw Man anime. Studio Mappa (Attack on Titan The Final Season, Jujutsu Kaisen) is in charge of animating the highly anticipated anime. The trailer also revealed several key staff members, despite a lot still being unknown.
The Hype for The Chainsaw Man Anime
Currently, Viz Media is in charge of publishing the manga physically and digitally. Shueisha’s Manga Plus service is also publishing the manga digitally. The story is described as,
Denji is a simple man who will do anything for money, even hunting down devils with his pet devil-dog Pochita. He’s a simple man with simple dreams, drowing under a mountain of debt. But his sad life gets turned upside down one day when he’s betrayed by someone he trusts. Now with the power of a devil inside of him, Denji becoomes a whole new man- Chainsaw Man!”
Tatsuki Fujimoto first published Chainsaw Man in December 2018’s Weekly Shonen Jump. The manga was nominated for the 13th Manga Taisho awards in 2019. Additionally, Chainsaw Man won the Best Manga Award at The Harvey Awards in October.

Part one of the Chainsaw Man manga originally ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2018 to 2020. There is a total of eleven volumes in the first part. As of now, part two of the manga will start serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump+ from the early summer of 2022.
The Jump Festa 2022 live stream events will continue until Sunday, December 19.
