The super-popular manga Chainsaw Man is getting an anime adaptation, and the first trailer will be dropping this summer from MAPPA.
The studio behind the newest seasons of Attack on Titan, Studio MAPPA, is holding a 10th anniversary celebration in June, and the first trailer for Chainsaw Man is going to drop during a panel with editor for the manga Shihei Rin and MAPPA president Manabu Otsuka.
After fear that the Chainsaw Man manga was coming to an end, fans were delighted last December when the anime was announced. It was announced that the manga would also continue in a different magazine, however, the details concerning these changes are still unclear.
The first volume of Chainsaw Man introduces Denji to the world:
Denji’s a poor young man who’ll do anything for money, even hunting down devils with his pet devil-dog Pochita. He’s a simple man with simple dreams, drowning under a mountain of debt. But his sad life gets turned upside down one day when he’s betrayed by someone he trusts. Now with the power of a devil inside him, Denji’s become a whole new man—Chainsaw Man!
As of this writing, the first four volumes of the Chainsaw Man manga are available now, and the fifth volume is set for release on June 1st. The trailer will make its debut during Studio MAPPA’s anniversary event on June 27th, 2021. As of this writing, there is no release window for the anime.
