The upcoming television series Gray will star Patricia Clarkson (House of Cards) and Nathalie Emmanuel (Game of Thrones); Lionsgate and AGC Television are set to produce the project. John McLaughlin (writer of Black Swan) and Ruba Nadda (director of Magnum P.I., Roswell) will adapt the series from novelist David Baldacci’s original concept. Baldacci has written best-selling novels: Absolute Power, The Whole Truth, and No Man’s Land. Clarkson will play a CIA operative, it’s unknown who Emmanuel will play in the spy-thriller television series Gray.
Stuart Ford, founder of AGC Television, and Lourdes Diaz, president of AGC Television, will produce Gray with Baldacci. Clarkson and Marc Shmuger will serve as producers, and Matt Bankston serving will be a co-executive producer. Elliot Brannon brokered the deal, he is Lionsgate’s director of acquisitions and content strategy. Brannon handled the deal with AGC Television’s senior vice president of legal and business affairs Anant Tamirisa and vice president of legal and business affairs Meghan Victor.
Patrica Clarkson and Nathalie Emmanuel: Television Stars Will be in Series Gray
Over Clarkson’s long career, she has earned critical acclaim for her roles in Sharp Objects and House of Cards. Nathalie Emmanuel has gained popularity from her role as Missandei in the global sensation Game of Thrones and the Hulu series Four Weddings and a Funeral.
Patricia Clarkson has wowed audiences with her impactful performances on stage, on the big screen, and on television. From an Academy award nomination to Primetime Emmy Award nominations, she has shown her range. In the television series Gray, Clarkson will play Cornelia Gray. After 20 years of hiding, Gray pops back up on the radar and has to dodge government agents that have long suspected her of being a traitor.
Nathalie Emmanuel has played an array of characters throughout her career. Her role as Daenerys Targaryen’s friend and translator pulled at the audience’s heartstrings. She has even made herself an integral part of Dom’s (played by Vin Diesel) family in the Fast and the Furious franchise. If Gray has even an iota of the action that Game of Thrones or the Fast and the Furious franchise contained, then it shall be a walk in the park for Emmanuel.
