Comedian Leslie Jones is set to voice the lead in a new adult animated comedy coming from Warner Bros. Along with leading the voice cast, Leslie Jones will also be executively producing the currently untitled series. According to Variety, the adult animated comedy series is in early development over at Warner Bros. Animation and doesn’t have a network home or writer connected to it as of now. The new adult animated comedy plot is tightly being kept under wraps. Still, one thing we do know about the new series is that Leslie Jones is voicing the character Plastic Woman, which has no affiliation with DC’s Plastic Man.
Comedian Leslie Jones’ New Projects
It was just announced last week that the SNL alum would be starring in a Comedy Central movie alongside other comedians; A workplace comedy film titled Out of Office comes from The Office executive producers Ben Silverman and Paul Lieberstein. Out of Office will star comedian Leslie Jones along with Ken Jeong, Jay Pharoah, Jason Alexander, Cheri Oteri, and a slew of other comedic stars.
Comedian Leslie Jones rose to fame from her time on Saturday Night Live, where she stayed as a cast member and writer from 2014 to 2019. Over the past ten years, Jones has starred in some massive projects. In 2016, she starred alongside Kate McKinnon, Kristen Wiig, and Melissa McCarthy in the all-female-led Ghostbusters. Leslie also starred in Eddie Murphy’s long-awaited sequel of his 1988 classic, Coming 2 America in 2021. She currently is the host of the latest version of the game show Supermarket Sweep on ABC.
