Crackdown 3 has been officially confirmed to launch on November 7th, 2017 with the Xbox One X. The open world sandbox adventure game was first announced at E3 in 2015, only bits and pieces of information have been released since. Crackdown 3 will be a “Play Anywhere” title allowing the game to be played on Windows. Charismatic Terry Crews filmed an opening for the title that was just shown at E3. Mr. Crews has also been confirmed to play the character Commander Jaxon in the game. The trailer showcased various weapons, destructible environments, team play, player augmentations and robots. Crackdown will not be a playable title this year at E3 unfortunately.
When first announced, Crackdown 3 was to have massive full destructible environments by using cloud computing. Unfortunately, that claim was later pulled back on with Microsoft saying that such massive destruction will be limited to multiplayer. While it was a disappointing announcement, many have expressed their excitement to still have this feature in multiplayer. Crackdown 3 will remain and exclusive to Xbox.
