Are you ready for a Japanese summer? If you are, prepare your camera and bug-catching net as Nintendo recently revealed the release date on Crayon Shin-chan: Ora to Hakase no Natsuyasumi Owarani Nanokakan no Tabi (Crayon Shin-chan Game). The game is available on Nintendo Switch and is ready on July 15, 2021, in Japan. Currently, its worldwide release is still silent.
If you are familiar with the Nintendo Direct teaser earlier this year, it showed off a good chunk of what to expect. Crayon Shin-chan: Ora to Hakase no Natsuyasumi Owarani Nanokakan no Tabi is not your typical summer vacation game. Get to enjoy summer with your family, fish, and even catch bugs with a dinosaur in this Crayon Shin-chan game.
Shinnosuke Nohara, also known as “Shin-chan,” is on vacation in Kyushu with his family at the start of the game. He and his family went to a different prefecture but what is weird is all of his new friends from the new prefecture look like his classmates from back home.
You will take photos and keep a photo diary of his holiday using the weird camera that the Evil Professor gave him. You can also fill up his notebook by collecting different wildlife. The fun part is, you can be featured in the newspaper for capturing unusual fish or insects.
The regular Crayon Shin-chan game costs 6580 JPY or around $60. Players who buy it after its first publishing run receive an ID code that will enable them to download the official soundtrack. A premium package edition is also available for 8980 JPY or roughly $83. It will have the game, graphic novel, downloaded soundtrack, diary, and a special box for that price.
Japanese Nintendo Switch players can get to play Crayon Shin-chan: Ora to Hakase no Natsuyasumi Owaranai Nanokakan no Tabi on July 15, 2021. There is no update yet on the game’s worldwide release.
