More details have emerged regarding the potential expansion of the Creed-verse that was previously teased by Creed 3 director and star Michael B. Jordan. According to the reports, there have been talks of a Creed anime series and a live action series of Amazon, on top of the development of Creed 4.
What We Know About the Creed-verse: Creed Anime, Amazon Series, Fourth Film, and Other Projects
Creed 3 has already proven to be a massive success at the box office. It has the highest box office opening of any sports film with over $58 million in its opening weekend, and boasts over $100 million currently in the global box office.
However, even before the film reached critical success, director and stare Michael B. Jordan had shared plans to potentially expand the Rocky spinoff into several sub projects.
Among these is a fourth installment in the film franchise, but new details have emerged that the concept of both a Creed anime series and a companion live-action series for Amazon are currently being discussed. There are little details any of these projects, however, as they are reportedly still in the very early stages of discussion.
Jordan has already talked in length about the several ways in which anime influenced both the story and action of Creed 3, and supposedly is attempting to capitalize in the form of an official anime. However, once again, details such as a potential studio, voice actors, story or release for such a series have not been shared.
This same goes of the live-action companion series for Amazon. What is known is that these are just a few among many potential projects in the lineup for the future of the Creed-verse, which may expand beyond the original film cast to other characters in the Rocky franchise, such as the reported Drago spinoff film.
More details are expected to be shared in the near future as Creed 3 continues to see worldwide success.
