While exploring the Modeo Bathhouse in Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion, Zack will stumble upon a curious object called the Boiler Handle. You can find this item in a pile of rubble at the ruined staircase to the left of the front door of the Bathhouse. Naturally, Zack has no use for the Boiler Handle since it cannot be used as an equippable accessory or weapon. Instead, the utility of this handle lies in its ability to be used as means to “cool the bathhouse water down.” If you are interested in what this statement means, continue reading the content below.
Using the Modeo Bathhouse Boiler Handle in Crisis Core
To use the Boiler Handle in Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion, Zack must find the device used to control the temperature of the water within the Modeo Bathhouse. Starting from the handle’s location, you must make your way through the ruin until reaching an A-Griffon enemy.

Several pesky Bizzare Bugs will stand in your path, but it should take little effort to chop them down. Eventually, Zack encounters an A-Griffon and must defeat it to continue onward. This enemy is tough but can easily be defeated if you sidestep and attack its wings from the side, as it does have any means to retaliate from the angle. Once the monster is dead, Zack will find his friends injured from battle. After this cutscene, you will find yourself in a large Boiler Room. Opposite where Zack emerges, you should be able to spot the Modeo Bathhouse machine that requires the Boiler Handle to function in Crisis Core.
According to YouTuber Christian Nightingale, you need to make your way down the stairs, turn right, and head to the opposite end with another stairway. However, keep in mind that Zack will get ambushed by some A-Hounds along the way. After reaching the opposing end, go up the stairwell and insert the Boiler Handle to cool the Modeo Bathhouse’s water in Crisis Core. A cutscene will reveal that the steam of a nearby column has dissipated, allowing Zack to retrieve the Lightning Armlet inside.
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
