This year will be a busy one for the cast of Critical Role. With efforts focused on growing their business and creating their upcoming animated series with Amazon, they will not be attending GenCon in Indianapolis as they usually do. This also means no live show for the midwest, which has been a staple for the last few years. But they will be returning to C2E2, and for the first time will be doing a live show there in Chicago. Details have been recently released by the cast confirming what to expect.
The full cast plus Brian W. Foster will be at C2E2 on Saturday, February 29th and Sunday, March 1st. Their Saturday panel will run from 11 am to noon and take place on the Main Stage. There will be photo and autograph opportunities, but it is on a pre-sale only basis via Epic Photo Ops.
They will also be doing a live show in Chicago at the same time, though it is not directly related to the convention and C2E2 badges are not required for entry. It will take place at the Auditorium Theatre on Thursday, February 27th. Doors open for general admission at 7 pm and the show itself begins at 8 pm. However, VIP ticket holders can take their seats at 5 pm with their exclusive Q&A starting at 6 pm.
The VIP tickets are $304 or $254 apiece. This includes the early entry, the special Talks Machina Q&A, and fun merchandise. Regular tickets are priced at $104, $74, and $59. There will not be any merchandise sold at this show, as in the past they have occasionally sold their products at the venue.
Any Critical Role live show sells out extremely quickly. So fans intending to be there should stay close to their computers! VIP tickets will be on sale at 10 am Central time on Wednesday, February 5th. The regular tickets will then be on sale at 10 am Central time on February 6th.
Critical Role has a history of putting on an extremely good show, with rousing audience reactions and good humor from host Brian W. Foster. So despite no Indianapolis live show this year, fans in the midwest (and all around the world) can still see them very soon!
