Cross-play is one of the features we want to see with every online game. There are many choices to play online games today, and sometimes it’s not possible to play a game with our friends. That’s because friends might be playing the same game on another platform, which blocks us from being together. The other game studios also focus on releasing cross-play support for their games. As expected, the cross-play support is also coming to the F1 2022 game.
You might know what the cross-play is from the battle-royals games. Fortnite, Apex Legends, and Warzone are the games that offer cross-play options to gamers, and that remove the barriers to connecting your friends from different platforms. Also, that support makes it faster to join matches. Because more gamers are connecting to the same server and more players mean faster match searches.
F1 2022 Will Get Cross-Play Game Support In Late August
The developers were promised cross-platform support before. We were expecting the feature with the game’s release, but it didn’t include it in its first version. But fortunately, the developers say the feature will be released at the end of this month. We could expect a patch next week; tell your friends who play on the other platforms. The feature isn’t detailed, but we will probably see a new way to invite friends to the lobby.
The tests will be live for all the players between August 5th – August 7th, and then it will be an official part at the end of the month. The game’s reviews aren’t so positive, but the cross-play support is a first for the franchise. That might be a good shot for the game, and we hope it also. Platform barriers disconnect us from our friends, and we hope the other game studios also work on this feature.
