CD Projekt Red’s new project, Cyberpunk 2077, has been a hot topic among gamers all year. After the success of The Witcher 3, fans have been anxious to see their new, original RPG.
Despite several delays, CD Projekt Red still has Cyberpunk 2077 slated to come out later this year. The CD Projekt Red team have been doing a great job of keeping fans hyped for its release, announcing DLC plans and various features they created to make the experience more personalized for the fans.
Cyberpunk 2077 So Far
For some context, Cyberpunk 2077 is an action-adventure experience that happens in Night City, an overcrowded super-city built on corrupt power, body modification, and absolute glamour. Players explore the world as V, a wanted mercenary on the hunt for the key to immortality.
The Polish game developers have already hyped up fans with beautiful trailers, high-tech mechanics, and Keanu Reeves as an NPC. But while they are putting the finishing touches on their game, they keep the teasers coming.
Cyberpunk 2077‘s New Features
For one, the devs have announced their plans for DLC. Some of it will be the paid-for, large expansions like The Witcher 3 DLCs Blood and Wine or Hearts of Stone. Meanwhile, a lot of the more frequent patches and addition after the game comes out will be totally free. CD Projekt Red has been very open about them wanting any DLC to be worth the money, and not to feel like they’re swindling players.
They also announced that their subtitles will come with customization. Fans can set the color and size of them, making the subtitles work for each individual.
The Accessibility Factor
CD Projekt Red have made this upcoming game more accessible than most people ever bother. They don’t try to force fans into burying money into the game just to play it, nor do they force anyone to read the text in one specific way. It may not seem like much, but in a world where accessibility is shockingly scarce, it’s appreciated.
