Cyberpunk 2077 recently got update 2.0, which completely changed the game and brought it in line with what developers intended it to be at release. Not just that, but CD Projekt Red was also able to cram in as many quality-of-life improvements as possible. And now, the company has confirmed that it is currently hard at work on update 2.01 for Cyberpunk 2077, and has also released the patch notes for the upcoming update as well. The release date of update 2.01 for Cyberpunk 2077 wasn’t confirmed, but it should arrive sometime soon.
Below is the complete list of patch notes for update 2.01 for Cyberpunk 2077, but do keep in mind that these are not all the changes you can expect:
Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.01 Patch Notes
- The distorted effect caused by selecting a specific dialogue option when talking to Johnny at the end of Automatic Love will no longer persist on the screen.
- V will no longer die in The Heist by falling through the elevator when riding to the 42nd floor with low FPS.
- Fixed an issue where the UI could show controller inputs when playing with keyboard and mouse.
- Made it possible to properly switch to arms cyberware by cycling through weapons.
- Gig: Breaking News will be properly triggered after approaching the quest area.
- Vehicle radio volume will be adjusted so it’s not too quiet when compared to other sounds in the game.
- Addressed the issue of corrupted saves on PlayStation by increasing the maximum save file size limit. Note: this won’t fix the saves corrupted before the update. If you’re experiencing the issue, keep a working save (e.g. resave it as a manual save) till 2.01 arrives.
- Performance improvements for both PCs and consoles, especially in the Dogtown area.
For anyone who has been putting Cyberpunk 2077 off and waiting for it to get better before jumping in, now is the best time to do so. Not only has update 2.0 fixed almost every major problem in the game, but the DLC expansion, Phantom Liberty, just came out as well. It brings a new playable area, and a new story as well. CD Projekt Red set its bar extremely high bar with the DLCs for The Witcher 3, and Phantom Liberty is no exception.
Update 2.01 for Cyberpunk 2077 is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4,
