D23 Expo 2022 Announces Panels, Including Marvel and Lucasfilm

The biggest fan event for Disney fans has announced panels for this year’s D23 Expo 2022. Panels will include Marvel and Lucasfilm for superhero and Star Wars fans. The event will run from September 9th to 11 at Anaheim Convention Center. It will also celebrate the company’s 100th anniversary, including the Disney Legends Awards Ceremony.

The ceremony is like a Hall of Fame for people who have contributed significantly to the company. Inductees include Ming-Na Wen, Robert Downey Jr., James Earl Jones, and Jon Favreau.

D23 Expo 2022, like previous years, will have key figures like stars and filmmakers behind significant projects that will hit theaters or the company’s streaming service, Disney Plus. Panels will offer first looks at already announced films and shows with some announcements for new projects.

All Three Days of D23 Expo 2022

The first day will focus more on core Disney projects. The next day, September 10th will get into blockbuster territory with Marvel and Lucasfilm. Attendees will see what’s on the horizon for Star Wars and Marvel Studios, along with things set further out in the future. Star Wars already has multiple movies in the works, new shows like Ahsoka, and season three of The Mandalorian. Marvel has a vast roster of Disney Plus shows like Secret Invasion and Loki season two, along with its movies like Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and The Marvels. So, anything could be shown at D23 Expo 2022.

On the same day, Marvel and Lucasfilm will be centered on Disney Branded Television. It is confirmed to look at National Treasure, American Born Chinese, and The Santa Clause.

On Sunday, Experiences and Products Chairman Josh D’Amaro will give a look at what’s to come for Disney’s various amusement parks. Later in the day will be a special concert, Disney Princess – The Concert. It will feature the Broadway Belle from Beauty and the Beast star Susan Egan, Isabelle McCalla of Aladdin, Disney Channel star Anneliese van der Pol, and Syndee Winters. Music directors Benjamin Rauhala and Adam J. Levy will join them.
