Fortnite data miners have struck Fortnite gold in the form of an upcoming Dragon Ball Z collaboration. The rumor of a new collab between the Dragon Ball Franchise and Fortnite started around two weeks ago. They sprouted then Fortnite’s v21.20 update featured an asset for a little capsule resembling something from Dragon Ball. Other leaks mention the idea that one of the gliders will be the Attack Pod from the anime series. Now, with the V21.30 update, more assets have been found that resemble specific characters that could be coming to Fortnite.

With these skins, there could also be unique quests featured. There already is a high possibility of this since the Naruto collab featured some. However, any other insight into this concept is unknown at the time. What fans do know, though, is that Goku’s iconic “Kamehameha” will be added to Fortnite in some form. The leading theory is that it will be a Mythic ability. However, it could also be an Emote. There is a chance that neither of those speculations is correct, and it could be something completely different. However, there is confirmation that there are said to be weekly challenges for the duration of the collab. These challenges are to last for seven whole weeks.
The skins that are most likely to be coming are Vegeta, Goku, Beerus, and a fourth unnamed character. Many have started to speculate that this will likely be a female character. This was later confirmed by a Fortnite data miner (MidaRad0) who posted about the skin. Some have speculated that this character could be Android 18, Android 21, or Bulma. All of these have an equal chance of being included since they are all popular characters from the franchise.
Dragon Ball and Fortnite: Two Entertainment Giants
This is not the first (nor the last) time Fortnite will collab with iconic global brands. Their last collaborations featured characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, DC Comics, and Star Wards. A Dragon Ball and Fortnite collaboration would make a lot of sense, considering the Dragon Ball Super movie comes to theaters on August 19th. Still, with other Fortnite reports reporting the confirmation of the collab, one thing for certain is that there will be one in the near future.
To follow these rumors, MidaRado also confirms that the Dragon Ball collaboration will go live towards the end of August. This means any day after August 8th is acceptable. This is due to the fact that Epic will be going on its summer vacation and, therefore, won’t be releasing any new updates to the game in the meantime.
