Phoenix Labs’s Dauntless has launched onto Nintendo Switch. It further marks Dauntless’s debut launch in Japan, available on all platforms, featuring full localization, subtitle and character support.
The game features cross-progression across all devices and full “One Dauntless” cross-platform support, allowing players to team up with friends on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
Phoenix Labs released its most significant content update, “Stormchasers.” It’ll give the Dauntless fanbase a new gameplay called Escalation, a hunt featuring dual Behemoth encounters, and “roguelike” genre elements.
Secondly, it introduces a new Hunt Pass, Myth & Legend, offering players the chance to explore the history of Ramsgate.
It’ll conclude with a showdown with a Behemoth Malkarion.
The CEO and C0 Founder of Phoenix Labs, Jesse Houston, described the release of Dauntless as “a dream come true.”
She further said, “With our latest content update and release in Japan, the future is bright for Slayers around the world.”
Escalation will test Dauntless players with new challenges. The experience will include Behemoths with unique modifiers and procedurally generated encounters with the monsters.
Players can choose from a selection of Amps, which offer defensive and offensive boosts following a successful encounter. Talent points can be unlocked through runs in Escalation.

If a player achieves a level deemed high enough by the conclusion of their fourth encounter, they’ll face their biggest obstacle, the Markarian. This monster is the first to offer players the opportunity to mount their prey.
