If you’re a DayZ forum user, you will not be able to access your account for some time. A site-wide hack has revealed that user’s personal information was accessed through the breach and the site has been temporarily shut down.
Those registered at forums.dayzgame.com were sent an email today indicating the hack. Bohemia Interactive says they have received confirmation through their investigation that:
…all usernames, emails and passwords from forums.dayzgame.com were accessed and downloaded by hackers…
The developer tells users to go one step further and change any passwords online that may have been shared with the forum’s login. They add that the downtime may be up to two weeks, and ensure it is to better the security of their login and forum overall. The system was run of off IPBoards, and Bohemia says that will now be completely replaced.
In late January, the devs discovered a breach and quickly recommended users change their passwords as soon as possible.
Survivors, We’ve experience an outside security breach of our forums. We suggest playing it safe and changing your password just in case.

Now two weeks later, the suspected hack has caused the site to shut down. For more updates about the breach and info about your account, Bohemia Interactive recommends heading to their Twitter account.
