With their Round Robin event down to Round 3, DC Comics has released previews for the four remaining series competing in the semi-final round via ScreenRant. For those who didn’t know, the publisher created its own March Madness bracket. This bracket included sixteen potential series competing for fan votes over four rounds. Subsequently, only the winning series will get published.
Certainly, this contest has turned quite a few heads. But it’ll be interesting to see how things shake out. After weeks of voting, the semi-finalists are Green Lanterns: Underworld on Fire, Blue Beetle: Graduation Day, Robins, and Suicide Squad Seven. You can see previews for all four series below. Additionally, you’ll find breakdowns of the creative teams and story pitches.
DC Comics Round Robin Previews
First, there’s Green Lanterns: Underworld on Fire by Sina Grace, V. Ken Marion, Andrew Dalhouse, and Troy Peteri. It will follow the adventures of fan-favorites Kyle Rayner and Kilowog. Meanwhile, there’s Blue Beetle: Graduation Day by Josh Trujillo, Adam Gutierrez, Wil Quintana, and Gabriela Downie which follows the insectoid adolescent through some big changes.
Additionally, Robins comes to us from Tim Seeley, Baldemar Rivas, Romulo Fajardo Jr., and Steve Wands. The series follows five former Robins discussing the mantle and their relationship with Batman. Finally, Suicide Squad Seven by Rex Ogle, Diogenes Neves, Rex Lokus, and Tom Napolitano features Harley Quinn leading a new iteration of the Squad.
Unfortunately, voting for Round 3 ends on May 12th. Make sure to make your voice heard while you’ve still got the chance. What do you think about these previews for DC Comics’ Round Robin? Which one will you be voting for? And is anyone else still as irritated as I am that JLQ didn’t make it to the final round? Let’s discuss down in the comments.
