Mystery, theater, and adventure await as Lost Odyssey: The Book of Knowledge prepares to set off in a few short weeks. The cast and crew of the live Dungeons and Dragons show released a tantalizing trailer showcasing the charity event in California.
“For one epic live event, the D&D community will come together in support of the Autism Society of America. Lost Odyssey: The Book of Knowledge is a theatrical, all-star charity event bridging together some of the biggest names and celebrity players from across the Dungeons & Dragons streaming world.”
The tabletop roleplaying game continues to grow and has seen more than 40 million players roll new characters and create their own story. And that’s just what Lost Odyssey is doing. The live show will feature Deborah Ann Woll (Daredevil, True Blood, Critical Role) as the illustrious dungeon master for the evening. Her and a group of six brave adventurers: Â Matthew Lillard (Scream, Scooby-Doo), Satine Phoenix (Gilding Light), TJ Storm (Godzilla: King of the Monsters), Kate Welch (Acquisitions Incorporated), Xander Jeanneret (Relics & Rarities) and a surprise guest, will set off on a journey written and created entirely by Woll.
“There is power to be found in the theater of the mind.”
The trailer also includes the original score composed for the show.
The charity event is all to help raise money for the Autism Society of America and has some huge backers and supporters including Roll20, Meetup, and the MMORPG Neverwinter.
Lost Odyssey will include live audio production by Syrinscape to immerse the players and audience, who are all encouraged to come dressed up as their Dungeons and Dragons characters or a famous NPC from the lore.
