Dead by Daylight Kill Switch Activated Due to Map Issues

Behaviour Interactive has activated the Dead by Daylight kill switch after getting map-related complaints. Kill switch is a feature in the game that allows the developers to temporarily disable different components without affecting the gameplay. In today’s kill switch activation, Behavior Interactive has temporarily disabled the map offering for The Decimated Borgo realm.

According to the Kill Switch Master List in Dead by Daylight Map Offering in Beef Tallow Mixture has been switched off. Following feedback from players, the map will now be disabled for some time for repairs and maintenance. Similarly, the map will have a smaller likelihood of appearing in regular rotation.

Dead by Daylight has the kill switch effect used in case of bug reports or in-game malfunctions. When the switch is activated, the developers can switch off maps, items, cosmetics, characters or offerings, breaking down the game.

In turn, this feature allows players to continue enjoying gameplay without dealing with continuous disturbance from problematic elements. When a component has been disabled, players lose the ability to select the feature until it has been fixed. Challenging maps will also be removed from rotation and remain unavailable for Custom Games selection.

Currently, Behavior Interactive has noted two issues in Dead by Daylight. The first one is the Map Offering for The Decimated Borgo realm, whose kill switch has been activated. The second known issue is the Escape Artist Challenge.

According to the listing explanation, the escape artist challenge occasionally fails to progress to some users in the Haunted by Daylight Event. However, this feature is still active in the game but, the franchise does not share when they intend to fix this issue.

Currently, Map Offering for The Decimated Borgo realm is inactive to all Dead by Daylight players. According to the Kill Switch Master List, players should expect a fix for Hotfix 2. In the meantime, you will not be able to play in the Beef Tallow Mixture (Map Offering).
