Dead by Daylight Mobile has continuously stayed popular over the years. First released in 2016 on console, the game had enough of a following to gain a mobile version. Very few games stay this popular after release, thanks in part to its continued support. Thankfully, the treat of a horror experience shows no sign of stopping.
Dead by Daylight Mobile Celebrates its First Anniversary
The mobile version of the title first released on April 16, 2020. Since then, it has achieved far more than other similar titles. As a horror title, it was downloaded over a million times in just two days. In addition, the Dead by Daylight Mobile game has recorded over 60 million trials played by gamers. Consistent players have also seen the release of many new characters to the game. Players may have seen Leatherface (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre)or chosen to challenge The Executioner (Silent Hill’s Pyramid Head).
Valentine Dessertenne, the producer of the horror title, shared their sentiments about the game’s endurance. “We’re all deeply proud of the game we made, and this shows in how far we’ve taken DbDM from a barely-there prototype to a flourishing live game.”
To celebrate, developers are offering players Anniversary Gift Boxes. These boxes will have past prizes that were previously available for only a short time. Dead by Daylight Mobile game players might also luck out and obtain items from the Summer Camp Collection. But those prizes will only be available via boxes from April 19 to April 25. From April 26 to May 2, you might see items from the Back to School collection.
The anniversary event will conclude with the release of the All-Kill chapter on May 3. Inspired by K-pop with a dark twist, Dead by Daylight Mobile will be adding killer The Trickster and survivor Yun-Jin Lee to the game. The title is available for Android and iOS.
Have you played the mobile version? Are you ready to survive another killer? Let me know in the comments!
