Dead Island 2’s New Cinematic Trailer at Gamescom 2022
Dead Island 2, which received its first trailer in 2014, is finally coming after an 8-year wait. A new cinematic trailer released during Opening Night Live at Gamescom confirmed the game leak on Amazon last week. The new Dead Island trailer featured Jacob, one of the game’s six playable characters, beating up various zombies while appearing to be infected with a virus.
The video also demonstrated gameplay details, including various inventive zombie-killing tools, such as traps, melee weapons, and conventional guns. With the use of a skill system, players can customize their characters. So, we can say the new gameplay, which Dambuster Studios entirely rebuilt, has significant improvements.
“Dead Island 2‘s gameplay is all about experimenting with your preferred zombie-slaying methods, just kind of going nuts,” Ayesha Khan, Deep Silver’s lead narrative designer, said on the ONL. “It’s a combat toybox of close-quarters melee brutality, with a few guns for fun.”
Players took control of infamous characters and killed zombies in various Californian locales in the original game, which was revealed in 2011 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. However, the sequel looks quite different. The new action RPG title will allow co-op play for up to three players in addition to solo play.
Dead Island 2 will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One, Stadia, and PC through Epic Games on February 3, 2023. So, what do you think about the new Dead Island Gamescom trailer?
