We can all agree that this year was a bit bland when it comes to some game releases. I mean, we got things like Overwatch 2, and rather than a sequel, it was just an update. We also got Gotham Knights right around the corner, and God of War Ragnarok went gold today. Yet, we think that next year will be a lot better. And why’s that? Well, the Dead Space Remake 2023 release date is already set in stone. However, there is one thing that misled some players earlier. While some thought that the remake would make it to current-gen consoles, it would seem that the Dead Space Remake launch will be next-gen only.
Dead Space Remake Launch Will Only Be For PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC
The cause of this confusion was the Latin American PlayStation YouTube channel. The trailer listing made it believe the game would arrive for both PS4 and PS5. Well, that’s a mistake. The Dead Space Remake launch next year will be for next-gen and PC only. This is a bit sad for those still unable to get a next-gen console or build a powerful enough PC to run the game.

Collector’s Edition Announced For ‘Dead Space’ Remake
While some companies like Santa Monica Studios have gone out of their way to bring their titles to current and next-gen consoles, EA won’t do that here. It has some logic, though. When the Dead Space Remake 2023 release was announced, we also got news about the game being single-shot. Just like God of War. Next-gen consoles and PCs are the only ones capable of the necessary speed to do that while rendering high-quality graphics. So yes, it would seem that the Dead Space Remake launch will be for those with the new consoles, but we really hope that the game makes it to Steam Deck, at least. Another console we hope to get now that reservations aren’t necessary.
