We already had a lot of clues about what Hideo Kojima was doing in his studio. The legendary game developer was teasing with pictures of some things about his next title. While most people already believed it was about an imminent Death Stranding 2 announcement, well, they were all correct. We got the official announcement for the upcoming sequel to Death Stranding during tonight’s Game Awards. The teaser is full of strange things, images, characters, and pretty much everything we can expect from Kojima. While there is no release date yet, it is nice to see that the sequel is in the works.
Death Stranding 2’s Announcement Shows Norman Reedus returning as Sam Bridges
In the past few days, Hideo Kojima started uploading some pictures with actors from his first game. Now we know why. A lot of the cast is returning to the game. During the Death Stranding 2 announcement, we were able to see Norman Reedus and Léa Seydoux. Plus, during the credits, we were able to see Elle Fanning too. Something we already knew from previous pictures and some fans breaking down pictures of the game. We are still not sure what part Elle Fanning will play, but it is nice to know we were right.

Beyond that, it seems that the game continues with everything that we loved from the first. The amazing setting, the creatures, and even more of that weirdness that is so characteristic of Kojima. One thing that is strange, though, is that Norman Reedus’ character seems to have aged. This could be an effect of one of the systems of the game or something else. We’ll have to wait and see how the story is handled. So, while we wait, it could be a great time to go back and play the Director’s Cut of Death Stranding to get a refresher on the story. Or we can also wait for the next mystery title Kojima is working on.
