Competition never looked so deadly before until now with Deathverse: Let It Die. Announced during the October 27 PlayStation State of Play, Deathverse – from developer GungHo Online Entertainment – is set to release sometime next year in 2022.
Time to Give the People a Show in Deathverse: Let It Die
Set hundreds of years after the events of Let It Die, Deathverse finds itself in a famous seat with the game show, Death Jamboree. Young players are sent into virtual arenas to battle one another to the death for a noteworthy prize, and the people of the world can just sit back and enjoy the show. The audience will also get to bask in the thrills with the show’s two MCs, Bryan Zemeckis and QueenB.
The announcement trailer for Deathverse: Let It Die provides snippets of early development actions. Along with the combat, we also get to see different outfits, skills, and upgrades with character introductions in-between.
Deathverse: Let It Die is being developed as a multiplayer action title with survival aspects. Players will only wield melee weapons that can be upgraded. Additionally, each player will be equipped with a robotic “Wilson” that can assist them in combat. This device can also transform into several different features by collecting upgrades. With a decently decked-out Wilson, you can be a force of brutal nature on the battlefield.
But the other players aren’t your only concern. Hunter G is on the hunt for you, changing up the game’s flow to PvPvE. These predators could mean the end for your run, and they’ll just move on to the next target.
Deathverse: Let It Die is set to be a free-to-play title on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. There is no official release date yet, but we can expect the game to drop somewhere in 2022. But what did you think of the announcement trailer for Deathverse? Do you see yourself trying out this action-survival game when it launches next year?
