The deckbuilding genre of video games has seen some great hits in recent years. The combination of card-based strategy and onscreen action blends together in a way that many players love. Fans of the genre will be happy to know that a new title is on the way. EndCycle VS is a deckbuilding fighting game coming to PC and Android this April.
EndCycle VS is a roguelike sci-fi game with single-player and multiplayer capabilities. The single-player game is set in a world called Anikka. It is up to the player to navigate this world and protect it from evil. Here’s how today’s press release summarized EndCycle VS:
“In EndCycle VS the world is standing on the brink of war! A rotating city, purple ice-deserts, mysterious worlds built with data… It is a wild world with new challenges every day. Two teenagers find themselves in the middle of the biggest conflict this world has ever faced.”
Up until last month, End Cycle VS was in Early Access on Steam. On January 11, developer and publisher 12B3 Games announced that the Early Access phase was finished and that they would temporarily halt sales of the game to prepare for the full release:
“In order to properly prepare the game for its full release, we need to temporarily stop selling the game to new players until launch day.
This means that until the day of our full release, EndCycle VS will not be purchasable by people who don’t already own it.
If you already own the game there is no need to worry! You can still play EndCycle VS with all its features intact! And you will of course have access to all the new things we’ll add on launch.”
So, when is launch day, and what can we expect? Well, today’s press release revealed that EndCycle VS would launch on April 20, 2022, on Steam and Android. The game promises lots of deckbuilding combat, with 20 different fighters and more than 4,000 moves to help you take down your enemies. The game will also allow players to create custom maps and characters, and cross-play is supported between PC and Android devices.
EndCycle VS will be available for PC and Android on April 20, 2022.
