The Pokémon Company and Pokémon UNITE have announced that the Generation 6 Fire-Psychic Starter Pokémon, Delphox, will be coming to Pokémon UNITE soon as a new playable character. Delphox was previously leaked for Pokémon UNITE around the same time as Espeon and was teased yesterday on the official Pokémon UNITE Twitter page. Delphox will officially be available for Pokémon UNITE starting on June 8th, 2022, according to the announcement.

Delphox Pokémon UNITE Announcement, Tease, and Details
Delphox was originally leaked by a prominent Pokémon UNITE leaker last month and teased yesterday by Pokémon UNITE Twitter, but the official announcement was only made today. While there is currently no trailer for the Fire-Psychic starter, one will likely be released as we get closer to its June 8th, 2022, release date, similar to the release of the previous new character, Espeon, who came to Pokémon UNITE on May 16th, 2022.
The Fire and Psychic-type Fox Pokémon Delphox is the final evolution of Fennekin, Fire-type Starter Pokémon introduced in Pokémon X and Y. Its move set for Pokémon UNITE is also currently unknown, but it will likely utilize its powerful pyromancy and psychic abilities and insight.
With the addition of Delphox, Pokémon UNITE now has a total of 35 playable characters, all of which come from across the last 8 Pokémon Generations. The other playable Pokémon in Pokémon UNITE include the following: Azumarill, Duraludon, Hoopa, Trevenant, Dragonite, Tsareena, Greedent, Sylveon, Mamoswine, Blastoise, Blissey, Gardevoir, Zeraora, Pikachu, Charizard, Snorlax, Crustyle, Greninja, Eldegoss, Talonflame, Lucario, Venusaur, Mr. Mine, Slowbro, Absol, Machamp, Wigglytuff, Alolan Ninetails, Cramorant, Gengar, Carchomp, and Cinderace. Right now, we seem to be on a pace of one new Pokemon per month.
Pokémon UNITE is currently available for the Nintendo Switch and mobile devices via iOS and Android and is free-to-play. For more of the latest information on Pokémon UNITE updates, news, and character reveals, be sure to keep reading The Nerd Stash!
