Demon Slayer: Entertainment District’s song “Zankyo Sanka” arc has ranked #1 on Billboard Japan for the seventh week in a row. The song “Zankyo Sanka” or “Song of Reverberation” has spent nine weeks at number 1 on the chart overall.
Billboard Japan also reports that the song has been streamed over 100 million times after 12 weeks. As of now, it is the fifth-fastest song to complete this feat, besides BTS’s song Butter and the opening song for Demon Slayer The Movie: Mugen Train. The only other song to reach #1 for seven weeks straight was Gen Hoshino’s 2016 song “Koi.” Like Demon Slayer: Entertainment District’s “Song of Reverberation,” “Koi” also debited in December and received this accomplishment the following year. Since then, Koi has ranked number 1 on the charts a total of 11 times.
Demon Slayer’s song Zankyo Sanka ranked #1 in Oricon’s weekly streaming ranking for the seventh time since its release in December last year. This makes it the fourth time the song has spent at the top of the charts. Aimer (the artist behind the song) is also the eighth artist/group to record more than 10 million streams in a single week since Oricon started.
As of now, the song shipped physically on a CD version on January 12th. The physical copy also includes Aimer’s song “Asa ga Kuru” (Daybreak) on the other side of the disk.
