This camera, or any camera, is especially helpful if you come across a dangerous person. It can give you great evidence to use in case something happens. This was the case in Florida as a deranged figure was caught on a Ring camera with a knife in his hand; he used the weapon to stab the camera. This situation is definitely terrifying, but the footage helped the owner notify the police. The police, however, simply told her to “stay safe.”
In the video shared by a young woman, you can see the Florida man standing in front of the camera. He then proceeds to stab it several times and, in the end, he seems to be attempting to scratch it. Even as he walks away, you find yourself still unsettled by what you just witnessed. The sounds made by the impact of the knife are haunting, especially when you imagine what could have happened if he entered the apartment. His final appearance on camera is him stabbing another camera several times at someone else’s door. It turns out this isn’t the first time the guy was seen around too. The young owner wrote:

Another person wrote, “If he lives there hopefully management can swiftly evict him and have charges pressed against him.” Aside from the non-violent advice given by several people, someone recommended that the owner get a gun. “I hate to say it. But you need to get a gun. And learn to use it. It’s for your own safety. All legally of course. Take the training as well,” they wrote. I guess this is one way to solve it.
In all seriousness, I hope the owner and her neighbors will be okay. The Florida psycho didn’t just attack her Ring camera, but he also was a threat to others. In one of the replies, the owner mentioned that when she filed a police report, they told her that someone else had also filed a report on the same guy. He even looked dangerous enough that one Redditor wrote, “You can look in his eyes and tell he is not all the way there mentally.” Let’s hope that the police will catch him.
