While Destiny 2 may have only launched on consoles earlier this week, Bungie wants to keep it’s Guardians busy. The series is well known for its events and activities, and the sequel is no different, with a layout of the first month already published.
Everyone was well aware that Destiny 2’s largest piece of content, it’s first raid, Leviathan, will launch in the next two days on September 13th. Alongside that, Trials of the Nine, this games version of Trials of Osiris, will arrive two days later on Friday, September 15th.
Bungie confirmed that our favorite mysterious alien arms dealer, Xur, would accompany the reformatted Trials. His role will be similar to the one he played last game, showing up on weekends to deal out exotic goodies in exchange for Strange Coins.
No word yet on how the Trials section will change, seeing as how Deathmatch PvP changed to 4v4 fans have wondered if Trials will still be 3v3. We do know it will change location each week, with different names(Countdown of Eternity, Survival on the Altar of Flames, Survival on Emperors Respite) representing different locations.
After the success of Nightfall strikes in the original Destiny, even though they came far after the Vanilla version of the game, the Destiny two outline revealed weekly Nightfall strikes and Flashpoint locations coming soon. The coming Nightfall strikes are named The Inverted Spire, Exodus Crash, and The Pyramidion, while the Flashpoints are Nexus, IO, and Titan.
Bungie’s new Guided Games beta will also help solo players out a lot, as it introduces them to a fire team for the raid. Another new feature comes in the form of Faction Rally events. Both of these round out the final week of the first-month outline, starting September 24th.
Outside of this outline, Bungie has promised the return of Iron Banner in Crucible and the prestige version of the Leviathan raid this October.
