Supermassive Games has recently announced further details and a release window for their next journey into the Dark Pictures Anthology series: Little Hope. A short teaser trailer gives off some serious Silent Hill vibes in this much-anticipated addition to the series, and fans don’t have much longer to wait. According to the announcement, Little Hope is set to release this summer.
Pete Samuels, CEO of Supermassive Games, detailed the plot in a recent update:
Trapped and isolated in the abandoned town of Little Hope, four college students and their professor must escape the nightmarish visions that relentlessly pursue them through an impenetrable fog. As they journey through the town looking for a means of escape, they must understand the meaning of these events, the root of evil, and how it is directly connected to them.
Like Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan, Little Hope will have three different playing modes: Movie Night, Solo, and Shared Story. Movie Night allows you to play through the story with up to five friends while Shared Story allows you to share your horrific journey with online friends. Per usual for the franchise, characters can live or die at the drop of a hat, depending on the choices you make.
Samuels expressed his gratitude and delight over the positive reception of Man of Medan and seemed eager for the coming experience,
“We really appreciate the feedback from the community and the team remains committed to the goal of making each new installment deliver further thrilling horror experiences, with the next chapter, Little Hope, bringing an all-new and disturbing horror story to the anthology.”
Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope is set to release this summer on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. If you just can’t wait that long, Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan and Until Dawn is available for your playing pleasure.
