Wednesday afternoon, Netflix announced that it would be streaming the spinoff anime to Detective Conan. The spinoff has been titled Detective Conan: Zero’s Tea Time and is an adaptation of the manga with the same name. For international fans, the series will premiere in July. The news for Detective Conan: Zero’s Tea Time also goes in hand with a trailer complete with English subtitles.
Detective Conan: Zero’s Tea Time will premiere in Japan on April 5th, 2022. It will also feature voices from the original Detective Conan anime series. Currently, Tomochi Kosaka (ReLIFE) will be directing the upcoming series. The band RAKURA will be performing the opening song, and Rainy will make their debut performing the ending song.
This is not the only Detective Conan spinoff that Netflix is streaming. The platform will also stream Detective Conan: The Culprit Hanzawa worldwide on the same date.
What We Know About the Detective Conan Spinoffs
The series centers around the character Toru Amuro (also known as Rei Furuya), who works undercover in the Black organization. Zero’s Tea Time tells the story of how he tries to balance all of his various jobs while still trying to stay undercover and solve cases.
Takahiro Arai’s Detective Conan: Zero’s Tea Time manga in Weekly Shonen Sunday. The manga first reached serialization in May 2018 and then became an official series. At the same time, it began serializing chapters only when the main Detective Conan manga took a hiatus. The manga’s fifth volume shipped on October 18th.
The news of this spinoff comes shortly after the Detective Conan Case Closed anime announced a delay with its 1039th episode. Until the undisclosed date, Japan will be airing old episodes until this hiatus is over. At the moment, there is no timeframe for the episode to air.
