Diablo 4’s Beta is finally live. At least for the weekend, that is. You can play through the entirety of Diablo’s Open Beta and make your way to level 25 with no restrictions. But Diablo 4’s Beta is crashing? What’s the scoop on this?
Diablo 4 Beta: Crashes and Queue Times
Earlier this weekend, players that pre-ordered Blizzard’s hit cookie-clicker RPG got a chance to experience Diablo 4, but it’s got some bugs to deal with. Apparently, Diablo 4’s crashing, prone to long queue times, and there’s an issue with team parties.
The buggy Beta has been acknowledged by the community manager over at Blizzard. Fans are outraged, and ironically, the community manager thanked players for their forbearance.
In a post to the Blizzard Forums, Adam Fletcher acknowledged these issues and informed players that the Diablo 4 team is working hard to resolve these issues.
Just wanted to provide an update regarding the queues players are experiencing this morning. The team is working through some issues behind the scenes that have been affecting players and causing them to be disconnected from the servers.
If you are in queue, we ask that you stay in queue to ensure you do not reset your timer. We plan to have more accurate queue countdowns in place for Open Beta next weekend as noted in our Known Issues post.
We are actively working on these issues for this weekend. Once these are resolved we will be able to increase the influx of players and queue times will be significantly reduced. – Adam Fletcher
Diablo 4’s crash-prone beta will continue from March 17 to March 19. Fortunately, those who didn’t pre-order the Beta will experience it later this month, from March 24 to March 26.
So what do you think of the beta’s issues? Will you try it out when it’s available next week? Let us know your thoughts!
