The official Diablo twitter has released a post showcasing some impressive statistics for the Diablo IV beta. Being the fourth main entry in Blizzard’s extremely popular Diablo series, Diablo IV’s beta was all but guaranteed to have a successful initial showing. However, the game has exceeded, displaying high levels of commitment and support from the player base. Due to this, the beta has become the largest in Diablo history.
Diablo IV Beta Displays Some Impressive Statistics
As reported from Blizzard themselves, the Diablo IV beta reached close to 62 million hours played. On top of this, the company shares some other statistics, including over 42 million player deaths and 29 billion monsters killed. These impressive feats are also balanced by a small statistic near the bottom. This statement read, “Solo Ashava Kills: Almost 1?” referencing a player who almost defeated the 12 person raid boss single-handedly. Sadly, their kill was reportdely stolen by a fellow player before they could finish the boss.
The Game Was Met With Some Mixed Reviews
Diablo IV is an action-RPG, with a heavy emphasis on exploring dungeons and finding loot. Despite this, many Diablo players are mixed on the changes that the game brings to the franchise. Graphically, the Diablo IV beta is stunning to look at. However, many players are disappointed by the lack of depth character customization has to offer. Hopefully the mixed reception of the game will lead to positive changes from Blizzard before the games official release.
With 62M hours played, thank you for making #DiabloIV the largest Beta in Diablo franchise history.
This is just the beginning. Hell welcomes all on 6.6.23.
