DIRT 5, the latest high octane offroad racing game from Codemasters, will launch for Xbox Series X on November 10, just in time for the console release. As a launch title, Codemasters promises today that DIRT 5 on Xbox Series X will deliver faster load times, 120 FPS, and enhanced 4K graphics. The game also supports a free upgrade for both Xbox One and PS4 when you switch to an Xbox Series X or PS5.
Racing enthusiasts will be able to put their pedal to the metal through several locations around the world including Italy, China, Norway, and the USA in most forms of rally, including rallycross, stage rally, and hill climb events. It features many different car divisions as well, such as buggies, muscle cars, Group B, and others. Play through the Career Mode, compete in online and split-screen multiplayer, or create your own Arena and special game modes with the new custom Arena creator mode called Playgrounds.
DIRT 5 development director Robert Karp said that their next-generation title will offer plenty of content for every type of racing fan.
It’s hard to believe that in less than a month, DIRT 5 will make its mark on the next generation of consoles. The studio has done an incredible job, and we can’t wait for players to join us in the lobbies. With a Career mode featuring the voice acting talents of Troy Baker and Nolan North, Playgrounds, Arcade and split-screen and multiplayer options, there is so much variety, and DIRT 5 offers something for every type of racing fan.”
Xbox One and PS4 players will be able to get their hands on DIRT 5 first on November 6, 2020. It will then launch on Xbox Series X on November 10, followed by the PS5 version later this year. A Google Stadia version will release later in early 2021. What do you think of the 120 FPS and 4K visual upgrade? Let me know in the comments below.
