The new teaser for Frozen 2 released earlier today, opening with a nightly beach scene. Elsa looked confident and determined to “climb” the enormous waves. A new and intriguing idea to test her powers and her mind. Anna and Elsa are embarking on a new adventure with Kristoff and Olaf but where and why? The sisters are sure to get into trouble and overcome all obstacles in their way.
The cast we all love is returning to the sequel also. Kristen Bell (Anna), Idina Menzel (Elsa), Jonathan Groff (Kristoff) and of course Josh Gad (playing the beloved Olaf). Rumors of other actors joining the lineup have also been captivating Disney’s Frozen fan-base.
Idina Menzel’s stellar vocal performance in the first film gave people chills. So many fans pose the question will another powerful and moving song yet by the magical songstress? I had the privilege of interviewing some of the performers at Disney World Orlando. We discussed the new teaser and what their feelings on the character’s future are.
Evie, who performs as both Anna and Elsa had some fun on her wish-list for the film.
“I kinda want to see Anna evolve from her naive persona and show more strength like the end of the first film. And if we did see Hans, I would want to see if he received what he had coming to him from his thirteen brothers.”
When asked of her feelings about Anna and Kristoff getting married she replied:
“The two of them have a great dynamic and love story but a love story didn’t drive the first movie and, I hope the sequel isn’t either. A Disney love story can be beautiful, but I have a sister, and this film spoke to both of us. To keep the power of sisterhood and strong women in the plot of the story would, I feel, strengthen and inspire young girls.”
Her friend who chose to be unnamed said that he hopes to see Kristoff take charge more instead of a guide. Both points of view are exciting ideas for the upcoming Disney film. We are definitely looking forward to more updates on Frozen 2. Enjoy the teaser!
Frozen 2 is set to hit theaters on November 22nd, 2019. This is almost exactly six years after the premiere of the original film, which hit theaters on November 27, 2013.
