Bandai Namco announced that the Dragon Ball: The Breakers multiplayer game will have a worldwide release. The company streamed a trailer to accompany this announcement that showed Frieza as a Raider. At the same time, there will be an open network test from August 5th to the 6th.
The game will also get a special edition and a limited edition bundle for those that choose to preorder. Exclusive to the Bandai Namco store, the edition contains a customizable costume, a yellow dragon skin, a two-handed good victory pose, an Android 18 Transphere, and a Scouter accessory. The limited edition bundle includes everything in the special edition, including a steelbook, Cell shell figure, and Potara (green accessory).
“Dragon Ball: The Breakers” And Its Multiplayer Chaos
Dragon Ball: The Breakers follows the story of the Survivors, who have been sucked into the “Temporal” seam. With no powers, they must use items, weapons, and vehicles to fight and evade the Raider while searching for the Super Time Machine to escape. There will be a character customization mode for Survivor avatars. Also, players can obtain skins and other equipment by using in-game credits or making an in-game purchase. For those that have also played Dragon Ball Xenoverse, Breakers will link save data across both games.
Dragon Ball: The Breakers runs as an asymmetrical action game. It features seven normal “Survivors” that face off against the eighth player, who serves as the raider. The Raider takes the form of a popular Dragon Ball character such as Cell, Buu, or Frieza. Each raider must complete the goal of taking out the Survivors.
Dragon Ball: The Breakers will be released on October 13th. It will be available via Steam on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Bandai has only included the price for the digital version of the game, which runs at $30 USD. The limited edition will sell for $80USD.
