During the PC Gaming Show, players got a quick update regarding the Shiro Games’ release Dune: Spice wars. The new title, which is currently in the Steam Early Access program, is a sci-fi RTS game that places players in the world of Dune. We recently reviewed Dune: Spice Wars, and with the new announcement, we’re glad to see new content coming to the RTS title.
Players got to jump into the world of Arrakis with Dune: Spice Wars not too long ago, but something was missing from the game. The Shiro Games title is in Early Access, so there were expected additions. But today we received a surprise.
Less than two months after its arrival on the Steam Early Access program, we received our first update during the PC Gaming Show. We reviewed Dune: Spice Wars in April, and one of our chief issues was the lack of multiplayer. With this announcement by Shiro Games, that concern has been officially addressed.
Head Back to Arrakis and Take On Your Friends in This Sci-Fi RTS
The multiplayer mode that supports up to four players will offer two kinds of matches currently with a free-for-all and a 2v2 team mode. Additionally, the developers at Shiro Games have also added co-op against AI opponents, which will certainly be something we prefer. Lastly, this newest update will also add a new synergy system that opens up all-new strategies that will help you crush your opponents. Look for this update to drop sometime this June.
With quick updates that add the game modes we were looking for, there seems to be a lot more from Shiro Games and their RTS release Dune: Spice Wars. You can read our Dune: Spice Wars review to learn more about the Shiro Game title. Afterward, you can head to Steam and pick it up on their Early Access Program for $29.99. Lastly, you can also learn more about the developers and other ongoing projects at Shiro Games by heading to their development page.
