The Witch Queen herself is bringing a new host of rules, subclasses, and storytelling expansions to Dungeons & Dragons. Tasha, also known as Iggwilv, is a powerful spellcaster, demon summoner, and overall antagonist in the lore of D&D. She was raised by the witch Baba Yaga and she briefly romanced the hedonistic demon lord Graz’zt. Author of the Demonomicon, there is no doubt Tasha has a lot to teach us.
Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything goes along the same line as Xanathar’s Guide to Everything (published in 2017), which featured more subclasses, spells, items, and rules for Dungeons & Dragons players. Coming off a year of playtested fan feedback, Tasha’s book will include class features, subclasses, additions to the Artificer class, and group patrons. It will also include more spells for players and monsters, items, magic tattoos, and powerful artifacts.
For the Dungeon Masters of D&D, this book has more, as well! There are more guides for creating sidekick characters, dealing with supernatural environments, and plenty of ready-to-go puzzles! Principal rules designer of D&D and lead book designer for Tasha, Jeremey Crawford stated:
The special witchcraft of Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything is the freedom it gives you to personalize your D&D character in new ways. D&D adventurers are exceptional, and this book gives you the tools to make them and their story even more extraordinary.”
Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything will be available on November 17th, 2020 anywhere Dungeons & Dragons books are sold. There will also be a special alternative cover available at local game stores only. Pre-orders are available now, and further details regarding the book will be announced today and at the D&D Celebration that takes place from September 18th – 20th. The D&D Celebration will feature live games players can join, professional and community-led panels, and livestreamed games from the biggest names in tabletop RPGs.
